Anybody who likes sailing, knows well what it means driving 50 Km to the site, just to discover that there is no wind or too much wind coming from the wrong direction. Anybody has a telephone, and this is the only thing needed to call a gsm meteo station based on our TCS board and know wind speed by telephone and other data. With a GSM phone you can even receive a SMS with the meteo data.

How is the wind? call TCS and go! Anybody who does a sport that relies on weather conditions like sailing, knows very well what it means to drive 50 Km to the site, just to discover that it can't be done. Normally one would call some local people, or may be the bar tender, to know what the wind and temperature are like. It would be a smart idea to equip the club with a low cost GSM meteo station that is also a SMS meteo station that tells temperature and wind speed by telephone. This is a useful application but many others are possible, including Sailing clubs, Beach bars and more.
