    To send an alarm by GSM is very convenient because almost everybody has the receiver!
    If you have a complicated network of devices to monitor, you may want to install a central computer to handle and route the SMS messages.

    Usually in most applications the alarms are triggered by a transition in one of the eight inputs, each of which can be assigned to a message and to 1 or more numbers to call or send SMS to.
    You can also connect the TCS Alert to the RS232 port of a computer and send the alarm data along with the text to transmit via the serial port. In this way you can monitor complex IT equipment and route technical requests automatically to the technicians.
    We actually can connect the TCS Alert so it performs a watch-dog function on your equipment.

    All parameters, like: Text of messages, Number(s) to call according to a certain type of alarm etc. are programmable via a RS232 interface or by modem, in terminal mode. You can use a Nokia 9110 to configure a TCS Alert remotely !
